Born to parents, Melvin Futch and Betina Tillman, this young entrepreneur and father began his journey to business ownership at a very young age. A graduate of Tattnall High School in 2010, he enlisted into the Armed Forces. After it was determined that he could not serve his country due to a football injury that would prevent his acceptance, he began working as a Bouncer at Club Prana in Ybor City, Tampa, Florida. Later after returning to Georgia, he went on to work as a Security Guard for Sizemore Security and Claxton Poultry.
Not realizing that his misfortune would change his direction, Tracey decided to apply for a position with Chatham County Sherriff’s Department. He would be told that he needed additional training before he could be considered for that career. After running into another obstacle, he decided that he would not give up. Attempting to meet that demand and acquire more training, he registered for additional training with Ogeechee Technical College’s Police Academy, where he graduated with honors.
Tracey is the oldest of his parent’s children, and was determined to achieve more than the mediocre. With that determination pushing him he decided that he would take his skill to another level. A mixed martial arts trainee and Amateur boxer, he decided that he could put providing security and protection to work for himself and with the inspiration of his mother, Betina Tillman, he began working toward starting his own newly structured business, The Defending Force, LLC. With the additional help of a few of his close friends to whom he refer to as “brothers”, he began laying the foundation of the security team that would function as the main security enforcers of The Defending Force, LLC.
New to the standards and procedures of providing this type of service, Tracey slowly and meticulously built his business. Ensuring that everyone associated with it is State certified and qualified, trained to work effectively and proficiently in this field, he strives to select the right people to function in the appointed positions within his company. From the business manager to the legal representative, Tracey ensures that everyone within his company will stand for fairness and act for the benefit of his company and their clients. He realizes that in order to be the best defense for all offense that a company must have an effective and strong team that works with strong and effective leadership.
